But, its foray into the world of mobile phones was what immortalised Siemens as a widely acclaimed maker of highly popular wireless communication devices. After a ceremoniously successful stint through several immensely popular phones, the reins of control of the Siemens mobile phone division was taken over by Taiwanese manufacturer BenQ to offer newly refurbished BenQ-Siemens mobile phones to the world.
