Where does your phone go and what happens to it after recycling?

Once a phone reaches the recycling centre, it is examined properly whether it can be repaired or not. However, the phones are produced based on strict guidelines, yet they contain some of the harmful substances which if mishandled may cause severe harm to the environment. At the recycling units they are taken out with care, and the other materials are re-processed. For instance, the body of the phones are basically of plastics, they are reprocessed and are used in the productions of the different materials.
